There are a lot of places to shop in Amsterdam, but here it is different it's not like the U.S where stores stay open until late, they usually open around 9 am and close at 6pm. Thursday is shopping day in Amsterdam and it is the only day in the week where the stores stay open until 9pm. I would not recommend shopping on sunday since everything opens late and closes early.
Há um monte de lugares para fazer compras em Amsterdã, mas aqui é diferente dos EUA, as lojas não ficam abertas até tarde. Eles costumam abrir em torno das 9:00 e fecham às 18:00. Quinta-feira é dia de compras em Amsterdã, é o único dia da semana em que as lojas ficam abertas até às 21:00. Eu não recomendaria se programar para fazer compras no domingo sendo que tudo abre tarde e fecha cedo.

1. Kalverstraat:
This is one of the most famous streets in Amsterdam to shop, and also one of the busiest. It is located right on the famous Dam Square, the heart of central Amsterdam. here you will find well known brands such as Zara, H&M, Mango, Nike etc. I personally don’t enjoy shopping here because it’s crowded, especially during the weekend. My tip is to avoid the Kalverstraat on Saturday and Sunday but you can go on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning when there is hardly anyone.

De Bijenkorf is one of Amsterdam's best-known department stores located in Dam Square. It's a wanna-be harrods of Holland. It is the best place in Amsterdam if you want to do some expensive shopping.

conhecidas de Amsterdã, localizada na Dam Square. É o melhor lugar em Amsterdã se você estiver pretendendo gastar bastante.
3. Leidsestraat:
Here you will find a variety of different stores, if you like boutiques then it’s definitely worth starting your shopping day here. Also on the side streets you will find excellent cafés where you can have a nice cup of coffee or a lovely lunch. Lunchroom B & B is a charming little place to have a quick bite, they have fresh juices and delicious sandwiches, it is located in number 44.

4. 9 Straatjes:
9 Straatjes means "Nine Small Streets", the most trendy shopping area of Amsterdam The 9 Small Streets are actually three streets crossing two canals: Herengracht and Keizersgracht, which makes up for nine small streets. They are surrounded by Prinsengracht canal from the west and Singel canal from the east. Full of small fashion shops, nice restaurants, coffee bars, bookshops, interior decoration stores and hairdressers, The Nine Small Streets is the area where locals go to shop, get beautiful, eat and drink.
9 Straatjes significa "Nove Pequenas Ruas", é a área comercial mais moderna de Amsterdã. As 9 pequenas ruas são na verdade
três ruas que cruzam dois canais: Herengracht e Keizersgrachs. Elas estão
cercadas pelos canais Prinsengracht e Singel. Cheias de
pequenas lojas de moda, bons restaurantes, cafés, livrarias, lojas de decoração
e cabeleireiros. As 9 Straatjes é a área onde os moradores vão para
fazer compras, se produzir, comer e beber.
5. PC Hooftstraat
In this street you will find the world’s biggest brands, luxury clothes, shoes and cosmetics. This is the Fifth Avenue of Amsterdam. This small street in a close neighborhood of the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk and the Van Gogh Museum, parallel to the Paulus Potterstraat.
