Stand Up Paddle Boarding became a popular thing to do, even more now that summer is here it seems as if everyone wants to try paddle boarding. I love paddle boarding but if you have never done it before i will advice you that it is hard at first, but then you get used to it. (great workout by the way) if you want to try Stand Up Paddle boarding but don't have a board, no worries i listed some places in miami where you can rent them or bring your own if you already have one.
Miami Beach: South Beach Kayak located in Purdy Avenue, we talked about this place in a previous post here. They offer Stand Up Paddle Boarding and you can rent them by the hour. they also have lessons for beginners.

Key Biscayne: Hobie Beach is another option, it is great for those of you who have a dog because they are allowed to go there.

In Crandon Park Beach not only do they have Stand Up Paddle Boarding but they also offer yoga on the board (talk about double the workout!)

Coral Gables: Matheson Hammock Park is more of a quiet little beach, it is a nice place to bring your children, and for paddle board beginners it's great because there are barely any waves.

North Miami Beach: Oleta River State Park is one of my favorite parks because there is so much to do here besides paddle boarding, they also offer hiking,kayaking, biking, skating. It's also a great place to come with the family as well.

If you are planning on visiting these places, i would recommend making a reservation up front to rent their paddle board, especially if it is on the weekend.
