If you follow me on Instagram @mymiamitips you saw that i went away on a mini vacation to Tulum, Mexico. I was fascinated by the crystal clear blue waters, The Archaeological Mayan Ruins, and Diving inside the beautiful Caves known as "Cenotes". There was so much to do in Tulum, and yet so little time. Check out our top things to see & do in Tulum below.
The hotel we chose was a small boutique hotel called Mi Amor. It is part of a group of four Tulum hotels by the Colibri Hotel Collection that includes the Hotel Mezzanine, El Pez and the famed La Zebra, Mi Amor is the newest, recently opened five months ago. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel only has fifteen rooms so it gives you that cozy, intimate feeling. This is definitely the place to go for relaxation! The location is great, very close to Tulum National park, and the famous Mayan Ruins. This Hotel is not in the crowded area of Tulum, but it is still close to the all shops and restaurants. Rooms are nice and comfortable, all rooms have a view to the ocean. We recommend this hotel for couples and honeymooners who want more of a relaxing and private trip. The only downside to this place is that it does not have a beach. The hotel sits on a stunning rocky outcrop in the national park, with amazing views of the turquoise Caribbean sea. A five minute car ride or bike ride will take you to the beach. We loved the restaurant Unico in the hotel. Breakfast is included in the rate, and the food is fantastic.
